Fender assembled guitars from left over 70's stock in the early 1980's, this has seventies body and neck and 1980 / 81 scratchplate and electrics. A locking nut has been fitted at some time and the guitar has a Wilkinson tremolo bridge, shows cool playing wear and plays and sounds like a strat should. Comes with non-Fender hardcase

Fender Telecaster Custom 1974 Natural
A great players Tele Custom - all original apart from brass nut, replaced pots (CTS), bridge saddles and reissue Fender F machine heads. Fantastic rosewood neck with minimal fretwear. These original Fender Wide Range humbuckers sound georgeous and the bridge pickup has all of the twang and bite of a good tele. The guitar is in very good condition for its' age apart from some lacquer checking on the headstock face where parts of the the logo has worn away (vigorous cleaning at some point in its history) comes with non-original Fender moulded hard case.

Fender The Strat 1980 Lake Placid Blue
At the start of the Eighties Fender issued "The Strat" a return to quality with upgraded hardware and the more powerful x-1 bridge pickup. Stratocaster. Ash body, maple neck, 22 carat gold plated hardware (expensive) new switching option giving 9 sounds in total. There were two colours, Lake Placid Blue and Candy Apple Red., both with matching headstock colours, they came with either maple or ebony fretboard. This one is LPB and has an ebony fretboard. It is a very early production model as it has chrome machine heads, a few were shipped with these before the gold ones were available. It's on the heavy side but rings and sustains forever. Non original knobs, they should have the backwards Fender F embossed into the top but these don't. A beautiful, and rare guitar. Comes with original Fender moulded hardcase.
Fender The Strat 1981 Candy Apple Red
You don't see one for years and then two come along together, this one is 100% original with original switch where the second tone control would be on a normal strat. You can get all of the usual five-way options plus it gives series wiring for neck and middle, and middle and bridge, neck and bridge in parallel and neck and bridge in parallel with middle in series. Read about the model in the description for the Lake Placid Blue model above. This one is in Candy Apple Red with a maple neck and the original case. This guitar is ex Ultravox and Magazine and bears signs of wear on the body and some wear on the maple neck, frets are in great condition.
Fender Japan Stratocaster 1990's Sunburst
A very nice Fender Made in Japan Stratocaster with a lovely dark rosewood slab fretboard. This guitar has been professionally fitted with EMG active Dave Gilmour pickups on a pearloid scratchplate. The tone controls are mid and treble and work on all pickup selections. This is a medium to light weight guitar and very resonant.

A well used guitar with lots of honest playing wear, two owners, both well-known blues guitarists. 1982 was the first year that Fender made these reissues, they are much sought after as they were more or less hand made like the original 50's guitars. This one looks and sounds like an original 50's guitar, no fake relicing here just lots of honest playing wear.
