Gherson Single Cutaway

Made in Italy in the early or mid-seventies, this is a very high quality guitar with a single piece mahogany body carved to make it semi-hollow, a single piece mahogany carved top and a single piece mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard with a light figuring. Very unusual quadruple copper braid inlay around the side of the body. Gold hardware and 100% original. The pickups are great and give a variety of sounds from warm humbucking in the neck position to a pure rock n roll biting bridge humbucker. Playability is as good as it gets.

Shergold Custom Masquerader 1970's

Made in the UK in the 1970's Shergold have a growing fan club and are becoming collectible. This is a relatively rare Custom Masquerader from the late 70's. It has an Obeche solid wood body, maple neck and all original pickups and electronics. Innovative switching gives the usual three way humbucking sounds plus out of phase and parallel wiring. This guitar was refinished by us back to it's original arctic white. It has one switch tip missing, new Grover style machine heads by Wilkinson and the main scratchplate is a replacement. It has a low action and plays very well, minimal fretwear. Go on - be different.

Hohner Professional 12 String Pastel Blue

An unusual 12 string this one, no longer made. Styling is similar to Fender Jazzmaster / Jaguar with three lipstick tube pickups, ingenious bridge design gives accurate intonation and no hassle. Wide-ish neck so it doesn't feel cramped like many 12 strings do. Solid wood body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, sounds great and a beautiful colour. In great condition for a teenager.

Vantage Superwitch 1980's

Made in Japan at the Matsumoku factory in the early Eighties, this is a rare guitar. The Vantage brand aimed to bring original design and high quality to their guitars and this is a great example. Solid ash body, maple neck with rosewood fretboard, chunky frets, quality humbuckers with coil tap and out-of-phase toggle switches. A great weight and very comfortable to play, does everything from chunky humbucker sounds to stinging single coil and spikey out-of-phase tones. Excellent condition for a Thirty-something, comes with a copy of an original politically incorrect advert for the guitar from the Eighties.
